Absolutely fantastic company to deal with. Not only was the work done to a great standard but they also took time out to talk me through all my plants, their names and what they need. We are already booked back for a visit in November.

The whole process from Phil's visit to estimate through to the cutting down of the trees was carried out in a professional, efficient way. On the day the team appeared promptly, cut down the trees in an orderly, safe manner wearing the appropriate kit. They efficiently removed the rubbish + " blow dried" the garden. I have no hesitation in recommending the firm and will probably be calling on their first rate services again

Hired Tree Squadron to cut back a sycamore to our boundary line. Team were punctual, polite and professional. They did a fantastic job and left the garden looking pristine. Highly recommend and will definitely use them again in the future! Thank you!

Tree Squadron recently completed two projects for us. The first was to plant four new trees along our rear boundary to increase privacy. The second was to plant new hedging around our driveway, including the removal of a long stone wall.
Both projects were completed on time, by a capable and knowledgeable team, with fantastic results. The removal of the wall was challenging due to exceptionally deep footings but they worked late to get the job done.
We are delighted with our more private back garden and this will only improve as the trees establish themselves. The new hedging has transformed the front of our property and it’s lovely to look out on greenery where there was none before.
The team were courteous and professional throughout, leaving all areas tidy and clean. We would happily use Tree Squadron’s services again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks for all the hard work!

The tree squadron team recently cut back a row of tall conifers in my garden, whilst navigating their way around two sheds, a greenhouse and a pond! They were mindful of environmental factors; they covered the pond and suggested this time of year for pruning as birds may soon want to nest in the trees. They completed the job in a day and a half, as planned, and left the garden tidy of any debris. The team was professional and courteous and highly efficient. The trees look great! Many thanks, Sandra

I was a bit late in writing my review , but two months ago, we hired Tree Squadron to take down a large eucalyptus tree in our garden . They were very professional and polite and got the job done in such an efficient way. The guys cleaned up, and after all, their hard work snd left our garden looking brand new 😉

We paid extra to have the tree stump removed the next day, which I would highly recommend. We could not have hoped for a better service, 10/10.

We had our garden landscaped by tree squadron. They did a fantastic job in a challenging landscape (very steep sloping garden!). Phil and his team worked very hard and were excellent communicators, working with us to design the garden. Would definitely recommend them. We've added before and after photographs to show what a transformation they have made in our garden.

Expert arborists and tree surgery in Newport

Taking care of trees and hedges on your property can be difficult and time-consuming, and you probably won’t have the tools to hand to do it safely. It’s worth calling in professional arborists who can inspect the trees on your property, understand their condition, advise you on next steps and carry out the work needed to keep your trees healthy and the surrounding area safe.

We’re a familiar sight across Newport, from riverside gardens near the Usk to the wooded plots around Rogerstone, Malpas and Caerleon, working for homeowners and for the schools, estates and businesses that keep the city’s green spaces in good order.

Newport combines dense urban planting with larger gardens on the city’s edges, plus the historic setting of Caerleon, where tree cover often overlaps with archaeological and conservation considerations. Any tree with a Preservation Order, or within a conservation area, needs Newport City Council’s consent before removal or major pruning - we handle those checks as part of every quote.

Do I need a tree surgeon in Newport?

If you have a tree issue, hedge problem or overgrowth affecting your house or boundary fence, it’s advisable to call a qualified arborist. Our team is fully trained, qualified and insured to carry out any size of job, even at height, with risk assessments completed before work begins. High access work may involve specialist equipment such as cherry pickers, and is completed in accordance with BS 3998 standards.

In tight spaces, tree removal and safe felling is carried out using controlled dismantling techniques. Where a tree is protected by a Tree Preservation Order, consent from Newport City Council may be needed first - it’s worth understanding the rules on protected trees before work goes ahead.

Local tree surgeons know the area, understand the local ecosystem and have expert knowledge of the trees around Newport and South East Wales - which is why how you choose a tree surgeon matters.

Not sure what your tree needs?
